Kun's interests are in economic/finance research about China in general. He is working on the manufacturing survey in China to back out both productivity and distortion effects from privatization. One of his recent research projects looks at Chinese stock market and tries to uncover behavioral elements during special treatment announcements. Another one is to look at bank flows across countries when there are political tensions. Kun teaches macroeconomics and finance topic courses about China.
