Bio

Ligang Song is Professor and Head of Arndt-Corden Department of Economics (ACDE) in Crawford School of Public Policy. He teaches graduate courses in Institutional Economic and Development Economics, and supervises a number of PhD students in Crawford School of Public Policy. His research now focuses on development economics, institutional economics and the Chinese economy. Since 1999, he has, as Director for China Economy Program (CEP), been a co-editor in publishing the annual China Update book series with the Australian National University Press, with Brookings Institution Press in 2008-2009, and since 2009 for publishing the Chinese translations of the update books with Social Sciences Academy Press (SSAP) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and the convener for organizing the annual China Update conferences at the Australian National University.
