Bio

I am a PhD candidate at the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) in the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the ANU. I have been a visiting scholar at Department of International Relations and East Asian Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Chinese Translation Studies in Faculty of Arts at Gazi University in 2017; The Middle East Studies Institute at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) in 2018-2019.

My research interests include International Theory, China’s foreign policy and China-Turkey relations, Foreign Policy Analysis and China’s One Belt One Road Initiative and its impact on the Middle East. I am currently working on my PhD research project on ‘Understanding and Explaining China-Turkey Relations’.
