Bio
Wenzhuo Zhang is a PhD candidate in the Centre for Heritage & Museum Studies at the ANU Research School of Humanities and the Arts. She got her MEng and MSc from Tongji University (China) and Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) respectively. Her research is located at the interface of urban planning and heritage studies with special interests in industrial heritage, colonial heritage, and urban heritage management. The title of her doctoral thesis is 'The confluence and influence of colonial factors in contemporary heritage making of Harbin'. This is a case study of the Harbin city in China and focuses on the city's past and heritage associated with Russian and Japanese colonial periods.
