Bio
Jessie Liu is a PhD candidate at the College of Arts and Social Sciences, in the School of Sociology. Prior to her PhD, Jessie completed a double degree in Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and wrote her Honours thesis in Sociology on Naked Loan Selfies in China at the ANU. She is currently researching the infant formula daigou trade between China and Australia. Her research focuses on trying to better understand the mechanisms of the trade, the peoples involved in the trade, as well as the Australian and Chinese discourses that surround it.
