Bio
Fang is a PhD scholar in the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre (SDSC) at the Australian National University. Her doctoral research investigates the evolution of Chinese maritime law enforcement agencies. Her research interests lie in maritime security, China’s foreign policy and the broader Asia-Pacific security. She has presented and published papers on the East and South China Sea disputes and Asian countries’ interests in the Arctic. Before commencing her PhD studies, Fang was Research Associate in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) at the National University of Singapore, and Associate Research Fellow in the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at the Nanyang Technological University where she received a Master of Science in Asian Studies.
