Bio

Yekun Zhang is a PhD candidate in the School of Archaeology and Anthropology, College of Arts and Social Sciences. He got his Bachelor of History majoring in Archaeology at Sun Yat-sen University in 2011. His doctoral study focuses on archaeobotanical and palaeoecological investigations on riverine shell middens in southern China (especially in Guangxi) by using multiple methods, including phytolith, starch, macrocharcoal and parenchyma analyses.
