Shuge Wei is lecturer of Chinese history and Australian Research Council Discovery Early Research Fellow in the College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University. Her research focuses on Sino-Japanese War, history of China’s international propaganda, grassroots movements in China and Taiwan. She is the author of News under Fire: China’s Propaganda War against Japan in the English-Language Press, 1928-1941, and co-editor of The Living Politics of Self-Help Movements in East Asia. She published in distinguished journals including Modern Asian Studies, Twentieth-Century China and Journal of Chinese History.
