Bio

Fangqi Wen is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Political and Social Change. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow at the Nuffield College in the University of Oxford. She received her PhD in Sociology from New York University. Her research interests center on demography, inequality, and objective as well as perceived social mobility. She studies contemporary Chinese society from a comparative perspective. Her previous work has published in Demography, Social Science Research, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
