Biography

Chao Huang is a new PhD candidate of the CIW. He was born in Henan Province of China and received his Bachelor of Arts at Henan University in 2008 and his MA at Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2012. Over the past eight years, he has participated in various field projects conducted in Shanxi, Liaoning, Hubei and Henan in China. He also took part in the excavation of a Mound House site at Pietrele, Romania in the summer of 2009. At ANU, he will continue to pursue research on the prehistoric archaeology of southern China and Southeast Asia, studying with Dr Benjamin Penny and Dr Hsiao-chun Hung.
