Collin Payne

Bio
Collin Payne is a Lecturer in the School of Demography at the Research School of Social Sciences, Australian National University. Collin’s research focuses on the interconnections between population ageing, health, and economic development. Collin led a research group exploring changes in health across generations of older Chinese individuals, and on widening health inequalities between urban and rural populations in China. He has published research on China in journals such as BMC Medicine and The Journals of Gerontology Series B: Social Sciences. Collin is currently leading an ANU Futures Scheme project on the health, well-being, and longevity of older adults in low- and middle-income countries.
