Venue Facilities

The Australian Centre on China in the World has a variety of facilities suitable for the range of activities run by the University and its collaborative partners: conferences, workshops, screenings, receptions and outreach events.

Please note that the Centre is unable to accept bookings on weekends and public holidays, and for events that are not organised by the University and its collaborative partners.

The Centre is located on Fellows Lane, behind the Law Faculty. Please see the map for the Centre's location.

Rooms and Equipment

A range of rooms are available for hire forĀ events from 14 to 216 people. The Centre has an auditorium as well asĀ small to large seminar rooms.

Mid-sized meeting room for up to 16 people with video-conferencing facilities

Two medium-sized rooms (for up to 30 people each) are available that can be booked seperately or as a single, large room (for up to 60 people)

A function room for catering purposes and food preparation that can be booked in conjunction with an event at the Centre

Audio-visual assistance

Cost

The rooms are free for ANU events. For events that take place outside of business hours (Mon-Fri, 9-5pm), a charge shall be levied. Bookings are unavailable on public holidays. For external hirers, please e-mail staff at the Centre for a list of our fees.

Please contact staff by email ciw@anu.edu.au for further information and to make an appointment to view the venue. When making a booking, please include the following information in your message:

  • your name
  • e-mail address
  • contact telephone number
  • name of the event
  • date and time of event
  • the rooms required
